In partnership with the Wyoming Community Foundation, Wyoming Intertie created the Wyoming Intertie Community Investment Program (WICIP) to help address community needs in the counties where Wyoming Intertie is being developed. Official awards were granted in September 2025, March 2025, and September 2024 after two preliminary award rounds in December 2023 and June 2024.

The next application deadline is June 15, 2026. WICIP accepts applications from local non-profits and public organizations that serve Carbon, Albany, and/or Platte counties. A committee of community members from each of the three counties reviews applications and selects awardees. Neither Wyoming Intertie nor its developer, Grid United, determine grant recipients.
